What NOT to let your child put in your garbage disposal!

A few days ago, I heard a strange noise when I flipped on the garbage disposal. It sounded like it was grinding up a spoon. I have heard this noise before, so I checked in the disposal and did not find anything out of place. I figured it was probably a seed or something that got stuck in there and would eventually go away. Last night, the sound was much worse. Alan took over the inspection and initially pulled out a little plastic piece that looked like the seats of a car. I thought maybe it was a lego that had gotten dropped in there by mistake. Then, he pulled out what looked like the undercarriage of a car. Then wheels. Then little chunks of a car frame. Luckily, he was laughing at this point and was excited to find every piece of what was once a hot wheels car. Alex has recently started "helping" by putting things in the sink. We now have a stopper in the sink to catch any other items that Alex thinks need to be washed!

If it can stand up to that, it can surely see him through elementary school at least!
