Alex loves being in his peanut shell sling. If I am trying to get something done in the house, I often put him in his sling and he just hangs out while I work. He usually falls asleep because the sensation is much like being in the womb. I truly think that the sling is one of the oldest and best inventions and everyone should have one!! In these pictures, I was actually able to bake 2 dozen cupcakes, do the dishes and make a pitcher of iced-tea all while dancing around with him in the sling!

needles and naps
Alex has finally eclipsed his big cousin, Ayden's birthweight! He now weighs in at 10 pounds 1 ounce and is 22 inches long. He had a doctor's appointment yesterday at which he got his 2 month shots (including Hep B, Polio, Pneumococcal, DTP, Rotavirus and Hib). The nurse had to get smaller needles because his legs are still pretty little--though they seem huge to us compared to how small they were before. He did very good considering the shots go right in to the muscle of the thigh. Poor little guy looked at me like--Why did you let them do that to me?! I took him home and we snuggled up for a good nap.

crazy legs
We bought a mobile for Alex's crib, but when we opened it up, we thought it was a little ugly and we almost took it back. We decided to try it out anyway and much to our suprise, it happens to be one of Alex's favorite things. He will lay in his crib for an hour just talking to the animals and giggling as they move around. Check out how fast his little legs move in this video as he listens to Claire de Lune.

Rasta Dancin'
Alex is constantly moving. I was recently playing Bob Marley and he went crazy kicking his legs all over as you can see. One of these days, I will remember not to hold the camera sideways when I record video. In the meantime, just tilt your head :)
