Alex and Annabelle

Alex loves Annabelle--one of the girls in his class.  The other day when I picked him up from school, he told me that he got to snuggle with Annabelle at nap time. He said she is one of his "favorite ladies"! She does not seem to enjoy his hug quite as much as he does!! :)

Luckily, Alex loves his pre-school.  When I drop him off in the morning, he regularly says--"It's time for you to go, Mama.  There is the door!"  I took this photo the morning of his first "school" picture day.  He was very excited!

Table Rock Lake

Kiddieland, Pittsburg, Kansas

We took Alex to Kiddieland at Lincoln Park in Pittsburg last night. Kiddieland was developed in 1953 and in the last few years, a family has worked to restore the rides to their former glory.  They have an amazing train, a Ferris wheel, a roller-coaster, airplanes, boats, teacups, and vintage vehicles, including British buses. The vintage vehicle ride just reopened this year with all original parts.  It is amazing and Alex loves it!  If you live anywhere near this area, it is a must!

Dark Cave

Today, Alex was covering his eyes with his hands.  He got very serious and he said: "My hands are a dark cave."  He is always thinking and always amazes me with what he says.  I am very lucky to be his mama.

Sunny Day

During the week, Alex does not like to get out of bed. He burrows under the covers and hides his eyes from the light. On weekends, he is eager to wake up.  He snuggles up to me and says:

"Wake up Mommy, it is a sunny day!"
