Spanish
I realize daily how quickly Alex is learning Spanish and how soon I will not be able to keep up. Yesterday, I asked him: "cómo se dice 'open' en espanol?" Without even taking a moment to think, he replied: abre!

Slip and Slide
I have been a bit "under water" with moving, family visiting, and work being hectic. So, I have not posted recently. My sister accused me of falling off the face of the earth or possibly giving my child away since I haven't posted. I am sorry, I will try to post more regularly. We have been in our new house over a week now and we love it! When I have a chance, I will post pictures of the new house. For now, enjoy these photos from Alex's friend, Cameron's birthday party! Columbia, MO
We recently went on a rather exciting adventure in Columbia. We had car trouble, sold our house, and bought a new one all in the course of 36 hours! Quite the whirlwind. We found time during our adventure to visit a great park in Columbia where we encountered some cantankerous ducks and a very big sheep dog. Sorry, no pictures of said animals, but Alex and Daddy had a great time running, swinging and playing.

Carthage Drive-In Theater
I love drive-in theaters. I love summer when I can go to the drive-in. I love the old, iron toys that the Carthage drive-in has--not the new plastic stuff, but the stuff that is cold to the touch and is painted beautifully. We have taken Alex to the drive-in before, but he could not really appreciate it. We went last weekend and while Alex did not make it through the whole thing, he loved the toys, he loved the concessions, he loved the people.
